The Indigenous Student Success Program (ISSP) provides funding for the Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Program (ITAP), giving eligible Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students access to FREE personalised academic support throughout their studies.

ITAP is designed to give you an Academic Edge by connecting you with a dedicated Learning Advisor and providing access to tutoring support to help you build confidence, develop academic skills, understand unit content, and achieve your study goals.

Students studying Start Uni Now (SUN), Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS), undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programs can access ITAP at NO COST.

Eligible students can access:
  • 2 hours of tutoring per enrolled unit, per week (maximum full-time study load of 4 units)
  • An additional 5 hours of tutoring per term during the exam preparation period
  • Ongoing support and guidance from a dedicated Learning Advisor

Please Note: Vocational Education and Training (VET) students are currently not eligible for the tutorial assistance through this program. CQUniversity provides Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Support Teachers dedicated to assisting VET students and apprentices, who may require additional help.
